The role
This is a Manager or Senior Manager role in retail commerce strategy and transformation, with a consulting company. You will lead strategy, capability assessment, process transformation and implementation planning for retail clients across store and digital channels. The work covers customer experience, e-commerce, omnichannel, pricing, promotions, assortment and operating model change.
A typical day involves running client workstreams, from business process design and requirements to solution design for core retail functions. You will advise senior client stakeholders and C-level executives on retail commerce practice, industry trends and platform capabilities. You will also help build business cases, reusable solutions and industry points of view, and support business development by shaping proposals.
We are looking for someone with 10 to 17 years of experience in strategy consulting or industry roles in retail, commerce or consumer sectors. You should know the end-to-end retail value chain, including merchandising, pricing, promotions, inventory, order management, fulfilment and customer service. Experience in grocery or apparel retail is a plus, as is an MBA or an equivalent degree in business, strategy, or sales and marketing. You should have led large retail transformation engagements and be comfortable leading and developing teams.
The role is full-time and hybrid, based in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Chennai or Pune. The experience band is 10 to 17 years.
