Data science analyst or consultant role for a consulting company, working on AI and data solutions for telecom clients. Requires 4 to 10 years of experience, strong Python and SQL, and direct client-facing work. Hybrid, full-time, in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Gurugram or Mumbai.

The role

This is a full-time hybrid role as a Data Science Analyst or Consultant. You will work with telecom clients to design and deliver AI and data-driven solutions. The work covers strategic advice, data analysis, business transformation and process improvement.

Your day will include working with large datasets and using SQL for data management and analysis. You will review existing telecom platforms and propose data and AI solutions based on gap analysis. You will gather business requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops, and turn them into process flows and functional requirements. You will also act as a point of contact for the client, tracking and resolving their issues. Analysing data and preparing clear presentations for senior stakeholders is part of the job. Travel or relocation to Japan may be needed if the business requires it.

We are looking for candidates with 4 to 10 years of experience in data science, with strong telecom or communications and media domain experience. You should know Python or R, SQL and machine learning methods such as random forest, gradient boosting and clustering. Experience with gen AI, large language models and retrieval-augmented generation is important. Direct client-facing experience is mandatory, including work with clients in their offices in India or abroad. You should communicate clearly, solve problems well, work independently across projects and guide junior team members. Any degree is accepted.

The role is based in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Gurugram or Mumbai, with a hybrid work mode. Candidates with a notice period of up to 90 days are considered.
