Lead AI decision science work for consulting clients across India. You will shape AI strategy, manage cross-functional teams, and design GenAI and agentic solutions on the Microsoft Azure stack. Hybrid role across seven cities.
The role
This is a senior manager role in the Data and AI practice of a consulting company, within its software and platforms group. You will work with clients to understand their business goals, find where AI can help, and build strategies and roadmaps that fit those goals. You will also keep track of the latest AI trends so that the advice you give stays current.
A typical day involves working with clients and your team. You may lead several projects at once, set scope, timelines and resources, track progress, and manage risks. You will work closely with data scientists, engineers and business analysts to design AI solutions, oversee model development and testing, and help integrate these solutions with existing systems. You will also present updates to client stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
We are looking for a candidate with a degree in computer science, engineering, data science or a related quantitative field. You should have 7 or more years of experience managing AI projects, and hands-on work with generative AI, LLMs, RAG pipelines and prompt engineering. Experience with agentic AI, the Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and programming in Python, R or Java is expected. Experience with large software or platform organisations is an advantage. Strong communication and team leadership skills are essential.
The role requires 13 to 18 years of total experience. The work location is Gurugram, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata or Chennai. The work mode is hybrid. The role is full-time. The candidate should be able to join within up to 90 days.
