The role
We are hiring a Senior Product Engineer with strong COBOL skills for a technology company in Mumbai. This is a full-time role, to be done in the office. The experience band is 4 to 8 years.
The role is about building and supporting banking products. You will work on high-level solution design and understand banking domain requirements. You will build prototypes and evaluate designs for scalability. Day to day, you will work with a team on development, following Agile methods and good development practices.
You should bring hands-on COBOL work, along with Unix or Linux and shell scripting. You need working knowledge of Oracle, DB2 or MSSQL, and of retail banking. Basic Java is a good addition. You should be a good team member and bring creative thinking to problems.
Notice period of up to 90 days is preferred. The work is in the office in Mumbai.
