Senior Windows Server Administrator for a managed IT and cloud hosting company in Noida. You will be the main escalation point for complex client issues across networking, Windows Server, RDS and virtualization. Full-time, in the office, on the night shift.
The role
This is a senior, hands-on generalist role in Noida. You will be the main escalation point for complex issues on client machines hosted by the company. You will work directly with the IT Manager and the Support team. You will own each escalation end to end, across the network, the virtual machine, the operating system and the application.
Your day will include resolving escalated issues, including during peak periods. You will diagnose connection failures, slowness and disconnects, and review firewall logs. You will fix Windows Server issues on versions 2016 to 2025, and RDS issues such as failed logons, profile errors and licensing. You will carry out VMware vCenter administration and support the planned move to Hyper-V. You will write RCA reports, explain findings to clients in plain language, and turn each fix into a documented known fix. You will also write PowerShell scripts, and mentor junior engineers on troubleshooting, including the use of AI tools.
We are looking for 3 to 5 years of Windows Server administration experience. At least one year should be in an L3 escalation role at a managed service provider or hosting provider. You should have a strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN and firewalls, and be able to diagnose latency and packet loss. You should know Active Directory, RDS, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V and SQL Server, and be comfortable with PowerShell. Experience with Veeam or Palo Alto, basic SQL Server troubleshooting and relevant certifications will help. You must be fluent in written and spoken English, and able to work with minimal day-to-day oversight during live incidents.
The experience band for this role is 4 to 12 years. The job is full-time, in the office in Noida, on a full night shift covering United States business hours. The notice period should be up to 60 days.
